The 1967 Winkie Convention was the first to be held outside a family home. The program was chaired by Jim and Sonya Brown with Karen and Peter Van Boemel and Catherine Phillips. Judy Pike gave a presentation on the new Oz novel by Ray Powell, The Raggedys in Oz, in which Ray Powell introduced characters from his two favorite series to each other. He also got vengeance on his least-favorite Oz character, Percy the Rat, by having him sent back to where he had come from at the end of the Raggedy book. That year's quiz was won by Fred Meyer (who else?).
