Events included a surprise Oz skit by hotel employees, displays of artwork and collections, presentations, trading and sales tables, a play, the auction, the quiz, and other games. The Cambria Pines Lodge Winkie Conventions

This convention featured Oz artwork, talks, a juvenile quiz, a treasure hunt, a jigsaw puzzle, auction, films, and the business meeting. The 1968 Winkie Convention was held August 17th at the home of Warren Hollister in Santa Barbara, California. This convention featured the first Winkie Costume Contest and parade, games and trading, the quiz, and talks about Oz. The Baum Bugle report was written by Frederick E. The 1967 Winkie Convention was held August 19th at the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Park Auditorium. Approximately 55 Winkies attended and enjoyed an Oz display, games, the quiz, and talks on Oz. The Baum Bugle report was written by Blake Maxam and appeared in Volume 11, Number 3, Christmas 1967.
The 1966 Winkie Convention was held August 20th at the home of Mrs. Florence Hurst in La Canada, California. This villainous event was attended by 100 Oz enthusiasts and featured an auction, the Winkie Quiz and talks on Oz baddies.
